Zirconium Sulphite, Zr(SO3)2

Zirconium Sulphite, Zr(SO3)2.7H2O, is obtained in crystals when sulphur dioxide is passed into a zirconium salt solution, and the resulting precipitate is dissolved in sulphurous acid and the solution evaporated over sulphuric acid. A basic thiosulphate also appears to exist.
