Zirconium Oxy-iodide, ZrOI2

Zirconium Oxy-iodide, ZrOI2.8H2O, was obtained by Venable and Baskerville by dissolving zirconium hydroxide in hydriodic acid, and by Stahler and Denk by evaporating a solution of zirconium tetra-iodide in water. It forms colourless crystals.
